Guys
Unless I'm really losing the plot I seem to remember a thread about Mid production tiger 1's without zimmerit. I've had a search thru the site and I can't find it. Can anyone please confirm that there were some used this way and tell me what colours they were painted in?
TIA

Yes there were about 50 mid tigers built before the zimmerit was introduced ...but in being early mids there are differences than those present in the tamiya mid kit...ie...one light but it was still on the left hand position beside the drivers hatch...feifel system was still used or at least the attachement bolts were still there...no external gun travel lock...and I'm sure I'm forgetting other things but this is just off the top of my head.. I do know that at least the 505th, 506th ,507th and 509th did get some of these early mids. As for colors well tell me which unit you'd like to build it in and I'll check my refferences for you.

Oh Lordy....another variation....don't let Dragon know about this...they'll squeeze another 3 in 1 out of it and my poor wallet will dry up and blow away on me :-)

Rick
I'm planning on doing the Academy mid production Tiger 1 with interior and I think I'll go for the 505th panzer battalion.
Thanks
