Hi

I'm finally getting there. I'm working on completing this dio before saturday, because my local hobbystore has to have a dio in their shopvindow till Christmas. Perhaps I'm already late...? But here it goes.

Untill now, the only figure in the dio. He comes from the Tamiya German Tank Crew kit, with a putty-slipover. The lantern on the left is from some german modelrailroad-company. Don't know the companys name. I made the lantern a bit bigger by using a compas from modelships as base. Yep, you'll find all sorts of weired things, huh?

The church-ruin with the debris. I'm aware of the misalignement in the corner. It will be corrected. The furnitures in front is something that miraculously survived the collapse, and has been salvaged.

Close up on the debris. I'd like to have more debris in the corner between the floor and the wall.

Well. Comments, remarks, critizism all is welcome. Almost...

Cheers

I´ll be very interested to know how did you do the debris.
Best Regards

Thanks for your reply Dexter. The debris is a mix of various things. Small and big pieces of wood and toothpicks, sand, catlitter, rocks and such all mixed together and added to the ruin. Some of theese pieces has been painted.

Thats it.

Hey Simon!
Love the figure. And the work on the streetlamp is the very essence of scratchbuilding
The salvaged furniture should be a little dusty from the ruins? Hard to tell is so from the pics, or whether they have been dusted off afterwards...
Enten den ene eller den anden af made er artig!
cheers

Hej Simon

Your making good progress on your church dio. Ruin looks good, groundwork looks good, lots of debris, figure looks good, the posters on the parkwall is an excellent detail. to sum it all up. I love it.
Only nitpick I have, is the streetlamp. Compared to the hight of the figure, I think the lamp should be higher.

Perhaps you could hang a painting on the wall, on the inside of the church, just to break up the grey interior color. Could be Jesus or a saint.

I have been watching this one grow and I must say it is coming along nicely. I like this up date.

Good idea! I think the lantern is from Viessmann( http://www.viessmann-modell.com/ ).
The way you altered the lamp looks very good in 1:35.
Does the lights works also?

The figure is very inspirative; I'll try that also.

And for the dio, just one word: GREAT!!!!

Hi

Thanks for your reply and your comment. No, unfortunately the light doesn't work. But it could add a great deal of realism to the scene if it worked.

Thanks again

I think I'll add a Motor Cycle with the rider (a MP) standing next to it, making sure that no one enters the ruin...

Thanks for your reply
