I was wondering if someone could tell me what is 'stippling'? I was reading a section in a book about adding scuffs and scratches and it said to apply the paint by stippling the bush.

Pretty simple really.....
Stippling is simply raising and lowering the brush in an up and down motion..... like putting dots on a piece of paper with a pencil......
Use an old brush for this, not your newest series 7.
I like to use those cheap little "Micro Brushes" for this, they are cheap, and disposable.

Why noy use a piece of the scrubbing material on those kithen washing pads that have foam on one side and a coarse mesh on the other.
Take a piece of the mesh between your fingers, dip in paint then dab on a cleaning rag to get rid of the build up and then dab onto your model on areas that you wish to show wear after a bit of practice you can get a brilliant effect of chips and scratches.
Hope this helps.
