The gin pole set up on this truck is a civilian set up. We did not have a M 52 tractor set like this. We had pole trucks to do this job. It is hard to say of this is a straight M52 or A1 or A2. I would have to see the right side of the cab. In the second photo the military truck is the M 275 2 1/2 ton tractor. It is based on the M35 series of trucks.

Just curious Dave. I plan to build a 2 1/2 ton tractor so now I have some reference for the fifth wheel. I would get more pics but the truck is not there anymore
