Just wanted to show what I have recently completed..mostly.

This is Dragons 1/72 scale M1025ASK Humvee, This is the one without the armor, Dragon gives you 2 vehicles..one with the armor, one without.

These kits are great...although very small and fiddly to work with. I think I may have gone a bit overboard on the weathering but ive seen pics of Humvees looking like this...so...who cares. All I need to do is add some markings and finish that figure..and maybe make a base for it.

Please..Fire away.

Cool. Is that 1/35 Scale? It looks smaller.

72

Almost makes you feel like a swiss watchmaker while building it...but i had fun. And another thing that pops to mind...is where do you find accessories in 1/72?...
sheesh. :-)

Hi Jon,
Yes I think you've overdone the weathering or maybe is it the light conditions when you took the pictures but it looks too dark.

You can add some crew equiment too.

Hi Jon,

I think you did go overboard with the weathering. It was a good effort however.

If you want good reference on weathering the humvee, i would fully recommend the hummers built by Coca and EPI. You can check them out here:

Coca (yswong)
Coca's Hummer

EPI's

EPI's Build

Trying to strike a balance on weathering is not easy but if you observe these 2 hummers, they were very subtle in their weathering as it didnt hide the details of the model but still had a realistic look at the same time.

Thank you for the replys folks...

Ok..I'll see what I can do about correcting the too dark look on the Humvee. Was trying to go for the effect of the green paint showing through the tan camoflage.Maybe I'll give it a pass with the airbrush or something. Thing is..I mostly build Russian vehicles...and those things get grubby, But..its only a model right.

Thanks again..

Thats odd, I dont recall ever seeing just a M-1025 with just a blast shield in the turret sleeve.
