Finaly received the 2 missing boxes from my eBay friend... 1 month!!! Had time to build the Dragon Wagon in the meantime!

What do you think about the positioning of the figs?

Generally I like it.
Be careful when you position them at the end. Make sure there are no floating feet or hands. Right now the last picture, the bottom figure (laying) has floating right foot.
Be careful of the lean of figures that are walking down a hill. The two at the top of the hill are in question (on final positioning). When you walk down hill, your ankles lean, you tip back - just be careful.

The AFV needs to be straight (parallel) on the road, not straight (parallel) with the base.

I know these are rough positions and they may change, just giving things to watch for.

Ropi,
You have the beginning of a fine triage diorama there.
When you get to the detail faze, be sure to add lot's of clutter (bandage wrappers, discarded equipment, ect).
Looking good so far. The poses of the figures are great.

Looks good so far. You have a lot going on in that little area. The positions of the figures look good. Like to see when it is finished.

I like it a lot, as long as you follow Slodder's advice on the "floating figures" this will turn out great. I also agree with chuck about adding some bandages and other items to busy up the area a bit. Keep us posted.

btw-you may want to give some attention to the poor fellow who hung himself from your ceiling.

I would put the floating figures down to them just being placed on the grass, not stuck to the diorama.

I think it looks very promising!!!

Dear Nico
that is a nice Dio
Well just one point, may be you can rotate a little bit all the scene with an angle of 45 Degree just to have a better view from the scene.
Are you going to paint the grass it looks like to green to me ?
Keep working you are on the good tracks

Still ok for a trip in Geneva ??
Cheers

hi Ropi,
first of all; i want to say those figures and vehicle are good choices for a triage diorama but in my opinion this diobase is small for a 11 figures( i didnt count the ones on Pz1) and a vehicle.maybe a larger base, a wider road for ambulance could be better...If i were you i would make the path in the grass a longer one like it goes till the edge of diorama.
bestest regards

I like this dio mate and the number of figures make it look like organised chaos.
I would have to agree about the path though it looks a little too "convenient" as it is just the right length and ends nice and square.
Which tank have you used for the ambulance and does it have an interior or is it a standard model with the turret removed?
Keep us posted, would kike to see it finished.
Cheers
Robbo.

Thanks for the comments!

So here's what I add to the To Do list :
- Build more bandages : done, using some real thin bandage soaked in white glue, nicely cut and rolled. Have to post a pix of those, they are cute
- Be careful with the fig positioning, but only when I am finaly ready to glue them. Same with the ambulance
- Paint the grass with some different brown tones
- Gradualy reduce the length of the grass at the end of the path, to make it more natural. Maybe even paint it a little more brown than the rest.

Seb, I am not too sure what you mean with changing the angle. I like like it is now, to follow the rule of not having parallel lines. The ambulance will be at an angle with the board, following the road direction.
I am still up for a trip to Geneva, however with the snow in the mountains I prefer to go skiing at the moment Hopefuly the weather is crap soon and I can go to Geneva, as well as spending more time on my models

The figures are Dragon (unpainted ones), Revell (tankers), Matchbox for the ones on the ambulance, the come with the kit and they are great.

The ambulance kit is from Matchbox and is a little challenging, and not so detailed. No detailed interior, I will have to find an inventive way to hide that. Any suggestions?

Dear Nico
Well changing the angle mean that the tank is too parrallel on one side of the dio. if you can
put more on the diagonal of the scene.

Lucky you if you can go skiing i'm still busy in the work maybe next week during the vacation if the weather is good?

i will go to Geneva next week for sure
can you PM the adress of the LHS of Geneva?

cheers
