After the great diorama of mr. Demchemko featuring soviet cavalry, here are some pictures of the progress in the ss german cavalry men for my diorama of germans chasing a soviet political advisor. Still some details to paint in the horses, soldiers and so.
Comments welcome.

Looking excellent Csago. Great idea, kit bashing the pointing figure with kneeling legs. The camo looks first class also. You got the eyes on the horses just right.
Having built the Florian geyer set, I can see you had some problems with adding the horses heads. The join line is visible still on the brown horse, and there seems to be little crease on the white horses chest at the front. I had a lot of puttying and sanding to do to get rid of these. Will be looking forward to seeing these finished up!

Looking great Csago. The camo is fantastic and the horses even look SS 'evil' :-) My only nitpick is the hair on the kneeling figure. It looks 'plastic perfect'.Maybe some roughing up and loose strands?
cheers

I love the horses, great job. Will the Soviet be visible when completed?

Hola csago! They look terrific. The camo looks blended to perfection. One gripe would be that the kneeling figure looks to 'aligned'. By this I mean that his right arm (pointing) and the angle of his head in relation to the line from shoulder to shoulder looks too uniform. ie. shoulder to shoulder to pointing hand are in a straight line, and the head angle maybe needs to be out of this straight line? Phew...
But as for what Rick had mentioned, they both look evil as ringwraiths! :-)
Cheers

I dig it big time! I agree with the previous post however that the head position of the kneeling figure looks out of kilter... his neck appears to be turned WAY too far for normal comfort or natural position. Could possbily just be the photo however...

As for the units... the White horse looks exceptional, and the body of the brown bay does as well, except for the white face markings... seems to need a touchup.

The camo of both figures is EXCELLENT... no need to change a thing - you have nailed a top notch paint job on the uni's.

Look forward to seeing the finished dio.

Superb work! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished dio. How come Spain has more than its fair share of great figure painters? :-)
