Hi Guys, heres a few updated photos of my North Afican DAK dio. Basic groundwork is done and the old tamiya kettengrad is finished. Since I finished the MkIV F1 already is just a matter of finishing the figures annd attaching everything to the base. Then a final pastel dusting and it will be done. I should finish during the holiday vacation.

Let me know what you think

The groundwork looks much better then the first time. Looks very good.

But I would try to put the tracks of the Pzkfw and he kettenkrad deeper in the sand. And the faces need some work to I believe.
Anyway it is goning to look great

Greetings

Don, it looks great. You sure have a wonderful handle on all the terrains you model. Could you tell us a little about the ground work and vegetation? cheers Kevin

Hi Don ...Nice dio ...I like the ground work ...I just noticed a little mistake on the Panzer IV the armored air inlets on the transmission covers are on upside down .

The groundwork looks fantastic, what did you use for it. I like the building, is that a Verlinden ?

Don -

Excellent diorama, nicely balanced, simple and effective. The groundwork and building are especially well done. Maybe some "stowage" like gas and/or water jerry cans on Mk IV? Anxious to see the completed version.

Nice desert dio Don, only nic pic I have is the figures need a bit more of a tan, they look to pail for the desert.
Great ground work and the vehicles look great also.

Seasons greetings.

I love that building! Incredible work. Is that scratchbuilt or kit formed. Looks good so far.

Thanks for all the kind words guys
I flipped the transmission covers over Rick , thank you for pointing that out. The building is a Verlinden kit with scatch built doors and shutters. The ground work is a mixture of celluclay, white glue, oil dry and sand. After the mixture is in place I sprinkle more oil dry and sand on top to get that texture.

Hey Don
I really like this! It is good to see some variety on subject matter. The groundwork looks great and is just as I would expect it to be in North Africa...
Maybe it's too late but to have the trailer behind the Kettenkrad on a slight angle (ie. off centre) just to avoid being too aligned?
Top work
Cheers and HNY
