These are some pictures of the 1/35 T-19 GMC that I just finished. It is the Best Value Models conversion kit for the Tamiya M3A2 Halftrack. I also used the Eduard M3A2 photo etched set and odds and ends from the spare parts box. It was my first attempt at a WWII vehicle. I plan to put it in a diorama set in Italy.

Very nice T19 How was the conversion to build? What did you do to tkae off the molded on ladders on the sides of the Tamiya kit?

Chad,
The resin parts of the conversion for the most part were pretty good. There was some warping that I had to correct, bubble holes, and excess mold sprue (probably not the right termanology.) The ladders and all other detail on the sides were completely removed by lightly sanding down the sides till they were flat. This required me to cut and place all of the screw heads (rivets) back on the sides, but to me this was the easiest way. I have included two more pictures of the T-19 during assembly, prior to painting.
As you can see, I also used TWS drive and return wheels on the kit. I forgot to mention this earlier.
I had fun building the kit, but the instructions were somewhat sketchy and there is not much reference material available.

That is sweet! Great build. I would like to do one someday but I'm too cheap to spring for the conversion

Is that company still around? What tracks did you use?

The conversion is still available from Great Models I think. The tracks are the tamiya kits plastic tracks that I built a wooden jig for and then used a hair dryer to shape them. Works real well.
