I got some photos of the almost finished Hummer "Zebra". I still have to put a flat finish on and from the photos I see that I need to redo the figure on the back.

Who has said modern armor is not fun ? Your camo is great !

One question : I don't see those medals on the real vehicle rear hatch. Is it a later add-on or a fantasy of your own ? If I'm correct these are distinctions for a soldier who got injured in combat. Does this mean that the crew suffered a total of 6 wounds ? This would be really stunning.

First off thanks for the comments. And yes the real vehicle does not have the Purple Hearts displayed on it. The crew was going to do this but never got around to it. The crew did receive six purple hearts for wounds received while serving on this truck. I put them on to honor them. The model will be on display in the Iraqi section of the Transportation Museum at Ft. Eustis Va.

Animal,

Good looking Humvee. I like unique paint schemes, especially when one can back it up with source material!

Glad to see the dirt put inside the treads of the tires instead of left on the outer surfaces.

Dave,
Great Hummer dude. Love the scheme. Nit pic.... but
doesn't the brush guard seem a little over scale for the vehicle. And is that hardtop a Tamiya kit option?
