Hi guys

Can anyone tell me how the ammo for an American bazooka was carried in the field ? Was this done by back pack, crate, e.t.c. If this matters the crew will be "assigned " to the 7th armor div somwhere in Northern France late summer of 44. They are riding iin a Jeep. The idea for the dio is not completly thought out yet.
Thanks in advance
Harry

When in vehicles they were kept in the shipping tube.
When on foot they were normally tucked in a ruck or pack , not in the tube.

They did use another sort of pack for carrying the ammo. I can't find a photo of it, but you can see it in the box art for this Dragon set.

It's the item on the floor in front of the people in the pic on the left, and in the right pic the guy with the bazooka has it over his back.

They came in different sizes - some were pretty big and could be taken apart in two parts to make carrying relatively easy.

They came in different sizes

Well, the larger diameter M20 wasn't in service in WW II so all WW II Bazooka rounds would be the smaller 60mm diameter.
