Would it be right if one of the tracks was facing the wrong direction? I mean, did it happen in the battlefield even once? I kinda goofed up my ISU and placed the other tracks on the wrong direction I can't remove it anymore since I superglued it. Stupid me...

Technically, I dont think it could be right, I think that in the battlefield tracks were only designed to go a certain way.

G'day SBS :-) long time no see
Well mate, put into the same position with my M48A3 way back when, i asked myself the same thing, i came up with two conclusions.
A- If the crew or Engineers whom attach the tracks managed to put the entire length of links backwards, they probably shouldn't have that job.
B-Where's the proof it DIDN'T happen once, somewhere, sometime.

With B being said, chances are it didn't, but, you never know.
Cheers

Hi , there is no problem fitting the tracks on the wrong way round . I have seen plenty of factory photos of the assembly lines with tracks fitted on the wrong way round , one in particular springs to mind it was dated 1942 Detriot Arsenal factory and Shermans had them just as you described. cheers ian

Well, I think they would technically work when put on backward, there are pictures of Sherman's with backwards tracks, but the way the ISU tracks are designed, they would offer no traction going the opposite way and it would be noticable allmost immediately. SO if they were put on backwards, they would be changed fairly quickly.

Wish I had a happier answer!

Thanks guys! Took me an hour just to place tracks on one end, let alone there were two of them. :-)

Sandy, yep, I remember seeing a Walker Bulldog here in the Philippines with reversed tracks. Only this time, both tracks were of the wrong direction!

Hey Davey boy! I can hardly see you via Yahoo these days. What's up? Busy?

I think I'll stay with your option B. With the rush of Russians to Berlin, I guess they don't have any time to check on some minute details such as tracks.
