And the odd thing it, well good thing really, is that it comes with the PE set instead of having to buy it separately. Hobby Search has it in stock with parts picks. I wonder if there are two different guys fighting it out at Tamiya as to what is included in kits. The new F40 racing car also comes with the PE set but the new Peugeot 307 does not. Hopefully common sence will win out and they will include the PE set in all their kits....like Dragon.

Hi, Good to note. Thanks for the posting. This will be a really good kit to pick up.

Christ, another kit to sit around to gather dust and cat hair. Ha, ha! Oh well, such is the nature of the hobby.

Take care, Sgirty

They're on the shelves here in Japan. Just saw 'em today as I picked up a couple of the new 1/48 M4A1 Sherman kits, also on the shelves (didn't get a StuG).

I did take a quick rummage through the new StuG's box, though. Looks nice! The inclusion of a PE fret and a nice metal barrel should (but probably won't) silence all the Tamiya bashers out there. It's really cheap, too...only 2,500 yen here in Japan (about $21 USD).

If you like StuGs (I don't), this kit should make you happy!

Hopefully this means that Tamiya will start to release 1/35th scale models that will compete with Dragon in terms of PE parts.

I suppose you should thank import laws for that. The kit's only about $21 USD here in Japan.
