Our moving van is showing up on Monday. I will probably be packing up this computer today and switching to our laptop. This means much of the mail on this machine will be unaccessable to me during the interim time until this computer is up again. If anyone has any serious support issues I would recommend using the Help Forum in lieu of contacting me directly. I get email alerts whenever someone posts there and while I am on the road others might be able to help out with answers to basic questions about the site.
For those who have sent in contributions in the past month please be patient as I will likely not be able to update anything Feature wise until after December 10th or so. I will be sending some recent photo submissions off to Bryan so hopefully he will have time to update the Gallery in the meantime.
Thanks,
Jim

How long does it take to move your things to California ? As you are the supreme commander, I presume they'll fly in a C5 to move the whole household so you can move into the new house the same day ?
Good luck with this mission,
Jan

Try to have fun, Jim. I don't envy all the work or the disruption.
I've been there, done that, got several of the t-shirts in different sizes ... Grew up an Army Brat, then joined at age 17. I've never lived in the same place for more than 5 years in a row (though I have lived in a few places more than once!)
Best wishes for a safe and uneventful move!!
Have a cold one (or two) at the other end

Jim,
Sorry you missed the trip to PonyTracks. Looking forward to your arrival in Sunny California (ROFL). Let me know if you need any help with anything once you get here.

Gook Luck on your cross-country adventure Jim - see 'ya when you get out here...
My wife and I decided to move out of our place as well - been getting things together for a near-future relocation too the last couple of weeks. Man - I hate packing up model stuff...

Join the chaos that is my life (or any other service member). I've got to do this every 2-3 years. Only place I spent more than 3 years was at Ft. Hood, home of the 18 hour work day. I wanted to leave there in 3 years or less so of course I had to stay there longer.
Good luck on the move, make sure your homeowner's insurance is adjusted to cover the moving of your belongings.

I have moved a lot. This is the 19th move during my entire life. Hopefully 20 will be the maximum number. Leaves one final move into my dream home/estate.

I was going to build a diorama of your moving experience.... but would I put the photos in "Ruins" or "Vehicles"... or maybe by the time it is over, you will have a new category called "Domestic Warfare!"
Best of luck - I know what a huge pain it is!

No need to hurry there. We'd like to keep you around for a while before you retire to that internet-deprived island in the South Pacific.
You should be about moved by now. We look forward to read a detailed update !

I have lived in Stockholm for almost 7 years now and this is my 5th apartment. I ve been here at this location for 3.5 years now so I understand what it is to move. Undoubtably the most horrible chore in the world. I dont envy you one bit.
But good luck and hopefully not too much will get broken or lost. I bet that made you feel better
