I am going to try to start an old Tamiya Leopard 1 and was wondering if anyone makes a seperate track link set for it. As far as I can tell Model Kasten and Friul do not. Please advise.

Here you go

tracks 1

I know there are more tracks on the market as well, but I can not remember where to find them. Use google for some minutes and I'm sure they will pop up.

Trackjam carries them, they're manufactured by Hong Kong Creation Workshop. www.trackjam.com, out of Canada.

HI

HKCW makes some. They are really nice but need a lot of parience given the number of parts per link.

Which of the Tamiya Leopard 1 you are building? If A4, the HKCW are correct. In case you are building the early one, there are no AM tracks for it.

If you are building the old Tamiya Leopard 1A1 kit with the early D139 chevron padded tracks then use the AFV Club T84E1 tracks for the M26 and M46.

They are about 1 mm too wide so a minor adjustment to the drive sprocket is required.

If you have the Leopard 1A4 kit I highly recommend the HKCW tracks.
