Im building this BTR 70 for the amphibs campaign and I was wondering how to weather it. I know wery little about camos used during Soviet-Afghan war. Is this a winter camo or some general mountain setting camo? Box artwork shows the BTR in some desert and I wanted to make it look quite dusty. Would that be correct ?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
Pedro

Howdy Pedro. If your BTR-70 is in Afgahnistan then a liberal coating of dust would be in order. I like your rendention of the sand over green that the Soviets applied to their junk. You might want to lighten up the black sidewalls of the tires a little too. Looks great so far. Out here.

I can't comment on the accuracy of the camo (sorry) but I like what you did. I think it breaks up the lines of the vehicle very well. Being that Afghanistan is quite hot and sandy, a lot of dusty weathering would be very appropriate
