Ok, sorry for the delay to answer especially to Mary who asked about an « How to » for the shadowboxes.
Here is the original Thread
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/65418&page=1

For those (Scott and Paul) who proposed some modifications. I did the stonework more prominent, wash and brush. That was not an easy task, because I realized that I did not scrib the lines between the stones deep enough. Other things were changed also.
I worked on the lightning , added a yellowish tone, but as some lights (I will add a yellow flickering light illuminating the wall over the fire) are still missing, and my last photosession did not turn out as good as I wanted, and I also wanted to move on, you will need to wait for the improvement pics.

So here are some pics about how I did the boxes.
I did read in historic documents that the castle had “ impressive vaults”, without further details, apart that the stones aren’t local.
So I decided to make two different cellars.
The round walls of the shelter – cellar are nothing else than a round cardboard container (sp?), cut to size to fit in a selfmade wooden box

It was extensively coated with an Acrylic Texture Paste, who hardens very strong and makes the remaining half of the box strong enough to keep the shape.
I tried something new for the texture of the wall. I used collected fine wood sawdust. The look is very good, but it holds only with a lot of woodglue basing and overspraying.
The back of the wall with the fireplace (for both of the cellar’s) is a piece of wood, pasted with the Acrylic paste, and stonework scribbed in.

As for the prisoners - cellar I decided to do a more classical vault look. So I did the vaults with pieces of Styro, coated with plaster bandage and plaster.

The side walls here are mattboard, coated and scribbed.
The scenes with the figs are made separately and fixed with the boxes like shown on this photo.

I made the photos small, as i think a widescreen pic of a cardboard box is not very interesting to look at :-).

Pretty simple I think, with just a little need for imagination.

Hope it helps

Cheers from snowy Luxembourg

lietuvis, in the original thread the lightning system was dicussed a lot
Perhaps you want to ask how i fixed it?
As i used the flickering LED-Lights from Monroe Perdue i mounted them on a little suport just behind the fire place. Basically a very small box . I drilled holes in the backwall of the fireplace, and i did put a piece of clear resin in the bottom of the fireplace, so that the entering LED-lights gets nice reflections and are not recognizabel as such.
The light for the latern (not visible in any pic) is brought to the latern by a fibre optic cable with the LED-light as source.
As for the main "illumination", it's done with LED lights also.
We had some discussion and i have still some work to do regarduing the right colour of the illumination. But the source in the prisoners cellar is a LED coming from the right side behind the vault. I attached the latern on the wall as an excuse for the light source.
The shelter-cellar is meant to be more open (they are free to go in contrast to the prisoners). It is illuminated with a LED coming from the front, attached on the upper part of the cardboard box, and alsocoming from the open door on the left side.
The LED's are relayed to a normal battery holder. I will hide this one somewhere in the later castle.
Why LED's: The hold very long and i have not an easy access to the box later on.
Why batteries in my case: The whole dio will be so large, that i really did not want to have the further inconvinient of power cables coming out of the dio.

You are welcome to ask more questions if something is not clear or simply my english is not clear :-)
