Hi.

Saw this kit in the local shop.

While I know this aint the best M113 kit in the market, the relatively low price seemed attractive. But is it worth it in terms of build and fit?

Was just thinking of just building this model OOB and adding leftover/aftermarket parts from accessory kits.

Thanks.

I already have the Academy versions of the M113, BTW.

If you build it buttoned up, it is O.K. The interior is lacking key items, such as the entire instrument panel and power distro box that takes up a good portion of the left side driver's wall. Troop seats are wrong profile and too squared off, missing crew heater and some other items as well. Black out drive light on left front is moulded upside down too.

The Academy version is far better.

I see. Oh well, at least that should deter me from wasting money.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I have an old, junked Tamiya M113. What if I take the interior parts from that kit?

That would be a minor improvement. At least it would have most of the parts. I would still rather buy the Academy kit.
