Does anyone know what the two long skinny boxes are on the right side of a 41' t-34? I"m working the dragon kit and they have some wierd holes that don't seem to belong but I just want to check!

They're external fuel tanks. The cutouts belong as the type were originally fitted on BT-7's. They're should also be a pair for the left side as well.

You might be interested in a MIG Productions upgrade kit...
It's called "T34/41-42 UPGRADE SET" #35-134 and contains 4 external fuel tanks, 2 storage boxes, a couple of periscopes plus a replacement driver's hatch. Here's a review...
T-34/76 mod. 40 & 41 upgrade set (1:35)
I see VLS has it for $25...

Hummm....Internet Hobbies has it on sale for $21...

Or, better yet, Bent but not Broken has it for $18 Canadian...what's that? About $16 I believe...

Just finished my Dragon T-34 with those weird external fuel tanks, and it looks ugly... I wished I had extra $$ to get that detail kit from MIG. Anyway its my first T-34 tank and I had lots of fun putty here and there. Seems like the turret has lots of fitting problems.
