Hello Ralph:
It's a good solid build. I love Shermans! Thnx for sharing. May I offer a few observations?
1) the stowage of the track links and dufflebags on the engine deck look strange. Why? Imagine the tank going at 25 mph or up and down ditches. Anything not strapped down would just fly off.
You need to secure the duffles. Get rid of the spare track blocks too (they are missing the rods as they were designed to sit in the track holders of the Tamiya M4A3 kit). I've never seen four spare road wheels on anything besides a recovery vehicle (and they only had two).
2) the rear lights: the bottom one should be black
3) maybe change the silver shovel. Too revealing -- maybe black or olive drab.
4) your handles on the drivers' hatches seem a bit too wide, as well.
If you really want to go nuts on your next Sherman project, have a look here:

Thanks again for sharing. Best regards, RC

Thanks Roy!
1. I really want to put in some tie downs on the model, but can't find no strings available :-)
2. Rear lights? Which side? Or both of them?
3. The shovel - noted. Maybe gun metal or mettalic grey would do?

I dunno, Roy, I kinda like the silve and it is accurate enough for a brand new shovel as many were supplied that way. However, it wouldn't stay that nice and silver for long as it would dirty and rust around the edges and crevases really quickly in service. A little weathering, Ralph, and I think it would be fine.
If I may make a comment about the .50 cal: The mechanism hanging out past the end of the ammo box is meant to help keep the ammo on the box feeding correctly and should, when ready to fire, be up the side of the box and over the top of the ammo. Also, when being used the lid for the ammo box was almost always removed so it wouldn't flap around with the recoil. The Ma Deuce packs a powerful kick and loosely hanging objects are a recipe for trouble.
Regards,
Paul

This pic should help you with the tail lights.
In 1/35 or smaller it is probably best represented by red / gloss black on the left lens, gloss black / gloss black on the right.
