Well here you go a couple of pics of my first model, pictures might be a bit naff, i am still getting used to the camera ( Christmas Present ) The Kit its self is the Italeri Katiusza Built OOB, it still needs a little more weathering mud on tyres and so fourth but i thought i would post a few progress shots so here it is Hope you like

You have made an excellent start Redleg
The only thing i would change is to repaint the tyres with a matt paint , they look far too glossy and even with some weathering may still look too glossy.
Apart from that it looks great
Keep us posted on your progress or some pics of the finished article

Wow Red, your first build is great! Hard to believe it's your first. I agree about the tires, I think the finish is a little glossy. I wish my first build came out so well, but, that was about 20+ years ago. I had no control over my little fingers, and glue was out of the question, not to mention paint.

Thanks for the feedback guys much appreciated I had thought about the tyres being glossy i will give them a going over with a flat black, that will be next on the list i am working on the Welcome to the Nam campaign at the mo, so a little busy thanks again

You could either repaint the wheels or apply a flat clear coat over it. Following that, you could use either pastel chalk or pigment powders to weather it. That should take the shine out of it.
