What is this kit based on? Dragon or Tamiya T-72?

Same exact kit as my DML T-72G/M kit (#3502) but instead of metallic gray sprues with link & length tracks, it comes with another sprue of totally individual links and new drive sprockets (regular drive sprockets are still included on the suspension sprue but unused) and 11 pieces that add an IR dazzler to the turret roof and an armored guard to the searchlight.
The decals are also different, although my DML kit comes with an extra Iraqi army decal sheet with an errata sheet added for generic Desert Storm Arabic markings. Definitely not worth the extra bucks that Kirin kits went for in the 90s.

Got that one too:What about the Kirin Yugoslav M-84?
The plastic parts the same as the other Kirin kit, but one small sub sprue has parts for what looks like a range finder.
In addition, there is a resin turret included and several other resin pieces like a fuel cell. There are six resin pieces added total. One is not used if the Yugoslavian variant is built.

What on earth is the "Free Kuwait" M-84? Thought Kuwait used M1s.

It is a Yugoslavian-built export version of the T-72 that Kuwait used prior to the start of the Gulf War and well into the 90s. They were part of the armor force that escaped from Kuwait during the invasion. The Kuwaitis didn't buy Abrams tanks from us until later in the 1990s.What on earth is the "Free Kuwait" M-84?
