Heya, Folks,
I'm not much of a Soviet armor builder, but picked up the35th scale Italeri/Zveda ISU-152 for a song... This is the perfect kit as I have a two month old baby and no real time to model --- I'm going to build it straight from the box (though I am tempted to replace the tracks and barrel - arg! There I go---! Stop me now!!!)
Anyway, I want to add a cast texture to the superstructure via liquid glue and stippling with a hard brush... Can you tell me what parts of the vehicle would have had this cast texture (obviously, not the gun)? I would assume the fenders would not, but do wonder about the engine deck...
Also, any quick fixes you might recommend for this particular kit? If it's something small, I might have a go if it will improve the kit and does not take much time.
Thanks! And Happy New Year!!
Regards and Aloha,
John B.

Over at Tanxheaven.com under the reference photos section there is an ISU152M walkaround that might give you a good idea of what should and shouldn't be textured. There's also some photos of a ISU-152K but they are pretty dark and hard to see.
