HI.
I'm planning on starting the Trumpeter LAV-25 soon and I've heard that the kit is missing the non-slip surface on the upper hull and turrett. I don't have the kit yet. Can anyone provide me with some photos of a LAV with the surface showing? I can't seem to find any good references on this.
I could also use photos of the Commander's M240 pintle if any one has any. It looks like it needs to be scratch built.
Thanks

You can probably find what you are looking for at Prime portal. Here is a
link to a LAV 25 walkaround taken in -98, but I noticed several other walkarounds of LAVs as well.

The LAV has non-slip coating on almost all upper surfaces, with masking lines around the edges of engine access doors, winch access hatch and other hatches, ect. It is not on top of the gunners primary site or the commanders site, the gun mantle or fuel filler caps. I have seen both the shock absorber mounts (the bulges on the front sides hull) with and without a coating. I have no references that I can post, but my first hand knowledge. I looked for a drawing or manual of such applications, but was unable to find anything.
Hope it turns out well.
