i was building the dragon panzer IV ausf E for about a week or so.got the turret finished then started on the main tank.after assembling all the suspension and road wheels i moved on to the hull, then things turned bad, could not get the top glacis plate to sit right when i attempted to attach it to the botton hull, plus the side skirts were not lining up right.
after many attemps to get it right i desided to give up and make a start on a Stug III so ill use the panzer IV tracks and tools for the stug.
i thought i was doing ok till this happend, dont know if its just me or the kit,so instead of getting upset and destroying the kit ill just put it away for extras.
cheers karl

Karl, take heart in that you're not the only one who has problems with this kit. I did a full build on it and didn't encounter the problem you had, but a lot of people did, so I can only put it down to something they did when building it. I hope you don't just use it for spares though.....it's a brilliant kit and well worth staying with for the end result.

Vinnie when you built it, did you follow it strickly in order or did you do another step . I know that this came up with the Tiger 1 initial in the placement of the transcover/ glacis plate section.

Steve, hard to remember now exactly how I did it, but I know I deviated from the order of the instructions. Looking at the instructions now, I think it must have something to do with the placement of the fenders when joining them to the hull deck?

Vinnie,
Are you going to paint yours? I'd love some advice on what to paint when....
Also.. I have the bogeys built and am in the process of building the hull now. The turret locator ring on the bottom of the lower hull... If I do not use part F36 do I need to worry about removing that ring?
Thanks Vinnie

I've begun painting it, just not got around to finishing it! :-) and no, you don't have to remove that ring if you're not using part F38 as nothing locates to it in that case!
