It appears that my spray can of Humbriol White has lost its propellant.
I bought the can about 6 months ago when I started the Trumpeter 1/16 T34/76 because of the large areas that needed painting and I didn't want to wear out my airbrush finger. I have used the can a couple of months ago to paint the interior of the lower hull.
However, today when I went to paint the interior of the upper hull all I got was 3 short fizzles and a few splatters then no go no more. I can hear plenty of paint rolling around inside. Cleaning the nozzle didn't make any difference, and although I didn't put the can in warm water it was 34 degrees Celcius (about 94 in realspeak) so there should have been enough heat in the can.
I have read in the past about people decanting paint from aerosol cans - how do you do this?
I am wondering about cutting the can open to get the paint - has anyone tried this (despite the warning on the label).
Ordinarily I would just go to the LHS and buy another can - but alas LHS is gone and the new fellow won't have the Humbrol aerosols for another 6 - 8 months.
Anyone got any ideas.
