Looks good mate, but comon, i know you were tempted just to ram into it and try and smash that basla wood to pieces! :-)
Cheers, keep us posted on how this bridge see's use, and how your Pershing is coming along.
Upon Being asked why he was being pushed back by a "Comonwealth" division at El Alamein, Rommel replied,
"it is not a Commonwealth division, it is an Australian Division, why, give me 2 Australian Divisions and i will conquer the world for you!"

Mate, 1 hour ago you said you were going to bed....you're addicted to Armorama lol
Oh and I did ram the side of the bridge (first time driving over the bridge - pretty narrow with the tank) but it was strong enough lol.

Hi all,
This bridge has been build by a fellow member of the RC tank club Battle Tanks Nederland (BTN). It's made out of wood without using 1 nail etc, just glue. Still the construction is very very strong, I bet it can take multiple tanks at the same time!
Of course we had to test the bridge to come to this conclusion and that's what we did this morning. The bridge had no problem at all with my Pershing. Here are some pics:
Martin
Martin,
Great looking bridge, is it possible to get the plans from you??

Hmmmm, dressing your tank as a Christmas tree, and driving on a wooden bridge with a Pershing tank...
I guess your engeneers did a proper
MLC classification before you crossed it? :-)
However, great looking bridge, and nice pics. It seems like your RC club is a busy one.
Cheers

Thanks for the heads up on this, this sound like something I can handle, if I can snag enough wood to complete the task. I'd prefer to get bigger pieces and rip my own smaller pieces, but alas, don't know anyone with a table-saw.
And the reference pages on the build will be a great help... just gotta figure out the dutch-english translations to assemble my 'plans'.
That and keeping the blasted cats off it until I'm done. They get into everything (including eating the lichen off my BattleTech displays)

I got your images from the zips, and they will be ~very~ helpful when I get around to playing engineer and building the bridge for my tanks (and any others who join me in making a local club)
Are you going to take a shot at some other designs? One I thought might deserve attention (being one of the Allies) is the Pegasus Bridge near Ouistreham.
I'm not sure if there are any more small famous ones, but the ones along the Market-Garden assault route (aka Hell's Highway) might be OK, but the Nijmegen and Arnhem ones are a tad large, wouldn't you agree?

I have no other plans concerning to build a bridge in the near future. But hell one may never now. :-)
I'am now focussing to build my Tamiya Pershing and the Kübel of my son.
Martinn is finishing the camo of the Kúbel soon, then i will rebuild it to proportional RC.
