Here are a few progress shots.. A coat of flat black to begin to pick out any issues.. Got a few pin marks to deal with.. Added a few details, namely valve stems for the tires..

And wire harnesses for the box and the headlamps..

A bit tough to see the stems, Had fun adding the extra bits.. With some help from Mr Roo in the way of a few detail photos, I think I will plumb the Brake chamber lines, lines to the wheels and some heavy electrical cabling to the starter and battery.. This is way to much fun... Any and all comments welcome..

I would only fill the outer pin marks (I am particularly reffering to the bed) as the interior ones that fit between the chassis beams are not seen.

What kind of cargo do you intend to add in the back?

Hey Dave,

I'm going to hound you throughtout this build! :-) :-) keep you on your toes!!

To be honest I wish I had time for this campaign, I'm stretched quite thin with all the current campaigns, 2 naval, 2 aircraft and 1 armour... It's a shame really, I've got over a dozen unbuilt truck kits in my collection........hhmmmmmmmm........

Just kidding,
Frank

It is amazing how a few little addons can make a good kit even better.

cheers

Looking good Dave

Its refreshing change to see a kit being constructed with a lot of the extra detailing being scratchbuilt rather than relying on a PE set.

Nice touch on the tyre valves btw

After watching your progress im tempted to go out and get another cckw and do the something similiar.

Looking forward to the next instalment

IM ready for you Frank.. Ive been working out... On the couch... :-) :-) Come on Frank, Jump in with both feet.. Nothing like a little bit of craziness to go along with your modelling..

Jeff, as far as cargo goes, Ive got a Tamyia allied accesories kit laying around.. A few drums, jerry cans and the like.. Found some scale chain in an old wooden ship kit that will hang on the bumper nicely..

Ian, I suck at PE.. :-) Tried it on a 3 in 1 Tiger.. Wont be going there for awhile I think..

Chad, Im using my wifes beading wire.. This stuff is great comes in different thicknesses and works great.. Just drilled a tiny hole in the backside of the rim, bent the wire ca'ed it into place.. Then just trimmed it to just below the cut out in the rim..

Cliff, again, thanks for the pictures, they are a great help.. I hate to be a bothre, but I have another question, Do these trucks run a master cylinder for the brakes, air over hydralic maybe? Or are they full air brakes? And yes, its the few bits Ive added really do make this an even better kit.. I could see me going a bit overboard now.. :-)

Thanks for the comments guys, I will post more as I move along to the painting portion..

the brakes are hydrolic and I think (but am not 100% sure) that the master clyinder is part of the vac booster behind the battery.

cheers
