When I place my photos into the official Campaign album, the're removed from my album. Is there any way of having the photo displayed on both without duplicating the photo file in my gallery?

Which photos specifically? If the KV1 turret than those are still in your gallery area just not in a custom album. Nice layout and photos btw.

The way the gallery is designed from a software standpoint the image is uploaded once and than is associated to the user who uploaded it AND one album/category. So no it won't allow you to have in a custom user category and the campaign category.
