Hi All while researching the KV series I have come up with one important KV missing from the Series this is the Uparmoured Turret , It has the same profile as the simplified one with no cut outs but has flat roof and the rear episcope housings are moved further back to eliminate the blind spots .
I hope Trumpeter are watching this site and can produce it . Cheers ian

That would be cool
It would really be a stunt to put all the different turrets in one box. Some time ago I had the idea of making one chassis and then put all the different turrets in front of it. So kind of a vehicle line up. But unfortunately I need to buy all the KV's...... :-)
Well, this post isn't that valuable for the topic. Just wanted to share
O btw, is it maybe an idea Ian to submit your research as a feature? I think it would be a great help to many people.
Cheers!

I'm sure he's willing to help you. A zip programm is not necessary. You can always send the file (word I suppose?) to his email or my email.
Cheers!

Frankly, I really don't understand the logic of this - at all. Surely this would be a reasonably simple conversion? All the major components are in place or are we expecting Trumpeter to do EVERY version (including the SPGs? ? That's what makes modelling interesting - if it isn't produced by a manufacturer.....Jim

Hell of a point Jim- I was at my local (hobby shop, that is;) and saw three of these variants, and as they look to have symmetrical robust turret, surely it would be more rewarding to scratchbuild a variant? Never seen three kits released at the same time that featured basically just a diff. turret... Why was it done, I wonder...
Cheers

I think I have lost track of how many KV kits they have done or are doing?
They sure look like nice kits though and I look forward to doing one soon.
Hats of to Trumpeter for doing something less mainstream.
P.S. How about a M3 half track next!

I bought a KV-1 a few weeks ago and loved the build. Addicting little buggers. I bought a few more variants.

Isn't the uparmored version the KV-1E? Trumpeter has released this kit with the bolted on Armor on the turret.
