Didnt know where to post this, so it goes here cuz its for my deuce..Tried something a bit different last night. The Tamyia 6x6 kit that im building has a pair of drums so you can model the truck with a tire or two missing.. So it occured to me that the spares cound be tossed in the back as cargo.. But the drums would have to be modified from this
To this
Sanded the detail off, then with the smallest drill I have, attempted the 8, yes 8 bolt holes for the axle flange. Then drilled out the center.. Not real happy with the result, but Ive got one left...
Also added real wire to the winch
Ive got a milliput hook and ball made up for the end of the wire.. The "rope" they offer just didnt seem to fit..
Oh yeah, and everything is green... :-)

Dave:
Cliff is right -- a scale winch cable would be less than 1/32 of an inch in 1/35. Try stripping some strands out of your wire, then re-twisting the remainder ... If the retwist doesn't come out smooth, then it will even look realistic ... Only folks who relied on a winch kept it & the cable in proper shape ...
