Friends,
The latest developments ..... The roof is on top and the door secures the shed from the intense cold.....
It's about time snow starts to fall on that dio
well the general idea is there
The roof
..... hmmmmm what could this be.... I wonder....
Well now let's build the window itself.... There's no window like a show window.....

Hey Danny, thatīs one nice minimalistic japanese-style summer cottage there!
Sorry if you already told this in a previous post, but how is the rest of the layout going to be? A tired soldier taking a nap in a pile of hay? Is there going to be tools&other equipment? Cows? Horses? Clint Eastwood?
Toni

What I like the most of this - the positioning of the shed on the base. Having it at an angle and then having two side 'truncated' by the edge is nice. Gives it more character.

Howdy,
thx for all those compliments....
Faust,
The roof is made out of white styrene sheet. (Manufacturer = Evregreen). It has been painted with Tamiya XF56 (metallic Grey) and washed with Humbrol "Rust". It will be highlighted with Humbrol Aliminium....
thx for those reactions again !!

LOL ! Good grief, Danny ! That took you a WHOLE month ? You can tell this is a dio and not a real life cottage. With the current weather in Belgium, your soldier would have drowned if it took you that long to build that roof over his head !
Looking nice, so far. When is the snow expected ? What will you use ?
Whatever you use, I advise you test on someting else before you snow on that dio !
Good luck, (:-)
