Dear All

Please find below some more picture from my submission to MoM Jan 06.
It is a BTR-70 from Dragon with Eduard PE and Model Point Barrel.

Mud has been done mixing dust, paint and PVA glue.

Enjoy it

Cheers
Seb

Don't worry Seb,
your kit looks good. The mud looks realistic.

You could fill the hollow bottom of your jerrycans as they are visible on the pics. I like the jacket on the engine louvers. This is a Modelpoint ref, isn't it ?

Hi Seb!
Good looking BTR you have there! The jacket and the furr cap are realy realistic touches! I like you rendition of the mud also.
My onlu nit-pick would be the decal. It seems that it hadn't settled properly, at least in the firs picture. Recently I used Humbrol DecalFix for the first time and Im quite happy with how it works. Others can probably give you info on array of decal setting products from other manufacturers

PE you used gives it nice in-scale details. Only for me using PE is too time and cost consuming so I tend to do this when I realy must, or even scratch needed detail instead.

The figure I used for my BTR comes from ICM set # 35281: Soviet Tank Crew 1979-1988. there are four nice figures in the box.
As for my rust, it was simply painted on with a fine brush. I used a diluted acrylic Citadel paint 'bestial brown', however any rusty colour would do the job. Most of similar rust efects can be done via pin washes instead. Probably its faster and just as effective method.

Cheers
Pedro
