Some of these photos are quite amazing really. Alot of people wouldnt believe it if i told them that there are coloured WWII photos out there as everyone thinks colour only appeared in the 60s.
Colours certainly makes you feel closer to the action.

The one thing that I see that I don't know if anyone else sees is that all the tanks seem to be pretty crude when it comes to paint, filth, wear etc. I think modelers are making this stuff way to pretty. I hate it when a judge says that "he's hiding something" because there's a lot of mud or excessive debrie on a military vehicle in a war time situation. Check those pictures out, most of those tanks are all scraped up, dented, loaded with mud, hand painted camo, unless its sitting on a dock.

Imagine if you could travel back to WW2 i think you would be surprized to see how horrid these tanks look :-) to many models look too nice almost factory fresh.

Nice pictures.. I agree about the judging thing..Be kind of interesting to produce a colour picture of a tank you modelled to verify the level of dirt and mud for a judge...
