I've been looking at aircompressors online and i've realised they're all very expensive for a 15 year old :-) anybody know where i can find a cheaper one which is still a high quality.

Thank You

Sam, you could try looking for a small 2 gallon compressor.. Just by adding a water filter and an adapter for your air brush, you will be good to go.. I did mine for just under a $100 CAD... Works pretty good too.. You can also think about Co2... Or, if you know anyone that scuba dives, you can set up a rig from an old scuba tank...

CO2 Tanks are great – but they need refilling – with the amount of airbrushing I do I was spending $40 three times a year for refills (plus initial cost of the tank and regulator), so I went down to the local Home Depot and bought the smallest compressor they had at $80 and $12 moister trap. Also picked up a couple of quick release couplers for the airbrush hose. Now I have a “plug and play” quick release for all my brushes. Just remember – you get what you pay for. A compressor with storage tank works the best. The one I have works great – have fun.

Sam, I'm sure the UK crowd will be able to steer you toward a reliable and affordable compressor, on your side of the pond.
As Derek suggested, if noise isn't a major problem, one of the smaller ones from the DIY depots, may fill the ticket. (I'm sure they have them over there also.... we got them all over here, everywhere---- they are like Starbucks..... one opens, then you get 20 more to keep it company!!!!!)
If noise is an issue, you'll pobably ending up spending more for the silent compressor types. Either way you go, look for one with a storage tank on it. The compressor will only run when the tank is low, and it gives you a constant pressure.

At Walmart here in canada u can get a Testors Mini Air brush with a compressor for $65CAN. Works great for me.

Not sure if Walmart has crossed the pond yet in their quest for world domination.
