Today the battle continued......about 25 1/16 and 1/15 tanks were involved in a large battle.
Some rare models, like a Jagdpanzer and two Panther tanks were present.

Knocked out 1 of them and got destroyed myself then.
But still I'm proud I was the last tank left to defend the Allied base

But Jurjen told me this is because you hid behind a large house the entire battle! :-) :-) :-)
looks like alot of fun though,
Finish the tank and stop having battles!
Cheers mate![]()
Jurjen should not make me look stupid, he was too chicken to join the battle himself
Maybe I missed the point here... is the question about pricing in relation to other 1/16-1/15 tanks or just from technical nature ? (it was also being discussed in ArmorHut)
If it's about pricing , well you can't compare a product made in a small series with a product from a major company pumping out R/C kit's by the 1000's...
I don't know how many of these Panther's Markus sold so far , but I am almost positive if he would get orders by the 1000's , he would find way's to produce this kit much cheaper...
Speaking of reliably of this Panther... the chassis is nice thick alumium frame with a solid gearbox, ( excepted that the gear-ratio is way to fast , not enought torque ) and the tracks seam to be to soft... I run the modified Panther as a test with Tiger tracks ....
The turret-rotation is a solid designe , it just takes up some valuable room in the hull , that's why I mentioned that as well where it needs a mod..., plus it has some backlash in there wher you lose some vaulable time ( in combat ) if you reverse the rotation-direction...
And the gun-elevation is limited by the size of the turret..., as well from the installation of the TBU... not by the designe... if the TBU get's installed differntly I don't see no problem with altering the gun-elevation...
For me it looks like Markus Panther was designed as a nice scale-model, unfurtentely the combat-battle-functions need improvements
