this time this work is not exactly for military modelling purposes, but may be interesting due that the thecnic is the same. Is a toy house for a girl at "playmobil" scale. Is made with cork and cardboard as ussual. Hope like it.

Hello Carlos,
Nice little piece. Simple but effective.
What i always wondered, and you may explain it in a few words, how are the manufacturers proceeding to make copies of your work ?
Is it copied in one piece or is this taken apart ?
You are working with all this different materials, i only can imagine that they do not respond equally well to the moulding process.
Cheers

Hello Claude,
for the commercial models each wall needs a mold. this mold is filled with the material that you have chosen (plaster or resin) and already this concluded the process of production. it is a basic and handmade process. Myself manufactures during many years my products, marketed under the label Blockhaus in a small garage.
They can become original with any material, it depends on the texture that you want to obtain, I have worked with plaster , cork, plastic, wood and cardboard with good results. Alone you have to have the caution in some of them of protecting them of the silicone of the molds with vaseline.
Charles , Bradley I do the roof with an old towel and painted with acrylic very diluted.
cheers

Very nice as usual...
I love the roof and the use of a towel. A bit to big in scale for 1/35. The creativity is very good.

Hello Scott
this piece is not to 1/35 scale he is a model simplified to play with the Playmobil. I don't know if this company is very popular in the States but here in Spain all the children have a collection: -) its scale is around 1/20.
I would like to share with my colleagues the happiness that was to see the interest that my children followed this model's construction. I believe that it is a good project to share with our small children, it is a good way to introduce them in the world of the construction of models. All the materials also come from the garbage. The walls are of an announcement of a supermarket, the wood of a box of fruits, the cork of the surpluses of a previous project, the towel gave it to me my wife before throwing it, the glass of the window of a blister...

Wow Carlos, this came at a perfect time, This is the style of building I am wanting to make for my big dio. You have given me lots of ideas and opened my eyes to other methods of creating a thatched roof!!! Thank you very much for sharing. Cheers Kevin
