Hi All;
Does anyone know if there are kits out there for Canada's 'Percheron' HLVW (Heavy Logistics Vehicle, Wheeled) vehicle?
cheers - Bob

Nada!
Though a fellow in Winterpeg has built the engine and most of the cab, entirely from scratch.

Is this vehicle based on another design or is it completely new? Where I'm going with this is if someone has made a kit of the other vehicle it's based on then maybe.....???

I think the "HL" was based on a Steyr design,I could be wrong though. I seem to remember been told way back when during my "HL" course when the Military first got them.
I have never seen a kit of anything close to them except the Revell Germany "MAN" trucks,but they dont really look like an "HL" lots of differences.
Maybe one day we will get a kit.

Yeah I think they are made by Steyr. I see alot of them driving the roads around where I live as I am very close to CFB Borden.
I remember riding around in them in Petawawa back in my army reserve days. Seemed like you were sitting up soooo high.
Climbing up the back with all your gear on was sometimes a challenge, esp. with a C6 and its associated gear.
Cheers,
Jeff
