According to someone who has seen the 2006 catalog, Academy will be releasing 2 kits in 1/72 this year.

They are:
M26 Dragon Wagon
M3 US half-track.

However, I have no conformation on this yet other than one post on missing-lynx.

Still, would be awesome if it's true

I've picked up a couple of their 1/72 scale ground equipment sets, Jeep/Kubelwagen and deuce and a half. Very good quality kits, I think they'll do a good job on those vehicles.

on the surface the jeep kit looks good but i was building it and found a quite a lot of inaccuracies in dimension - most notable is the front grille work (wrong number of grilles) plus some wrong angles on the front fenders lousy wheel and tires, etc...

but that was one of their earlier kits whereas the newer deuce and a half looks better...not sure about the dimensional accuracies though...

looking at the HT, well the shape seems ok though some of the details seem rudimentary or thick...i hope the dimensions are accurate...not all that happy with the running gear though it's definitely looks much better than the haseqawa HT...

and the dragon wagon is most welcome, fingers crossed

edit: egads! it's been a year already hasnt it!!!

M26 Dragon Wagon is no rumour. I saw it and had it in my hands last Friday (27 Jul) in Sydney Australia. At $27 Aus it looks to be a bargain - just couldn't justify another scale in the collection.

Nice, looks a bit familiar ( I have built a few of the Tamiya 1/35 ones...) but very nice non the less. And most welcome in this scale.
