Hello
After reading and learning a great deal from the forums in the last few months and slowly plodding through my Dragon Tiger Late, i have finished my first model since I last did a model 15 years ago. An out of the box Tamiya Panzer 2 Ausf F as a nice simple build, pre shaded and painted with Tamiya acylics. Oil weathering. The MIG pigments didn't go hugely well but it was the first time i have tried them. Used Teachers Panzer 1 build for inspiration.
Comments on how to improve with my second build would be most welcome (already got the improve MIG part...)
Ian

Nice looking Panzer you got there Ian.
I tried linking these images for you but they were too big in terms of resolution so i took it out.

Ian, can I give you some advice?
Try going back over the roadwheels with a brush with just thinner on it to remove a lot of that build up. If you do this a few times, you should remove the bulk of the paint and leave enough to give it a good appearance. The rest of the vehicle looks great.

Ian that is a really nice build, but as already said, clear a bit of the build up on the tyres and you will make it even better.
Hoping to see some more of your work as you progress.

Ian as you are using Mig pigments you can make various adjustments by purely doing some scrubbing with a brush and maybe blending some other colours in too
Hope this helps,
John

Looks good to me, as soon as I see one of these PZ II's on the shelf I am bringing one home.
As far as the mud buildup goes, that maybe alot closer to reality than the majority of 'dirty' models we see posted.

NIce looking panzer.
I like your preshade. How did you do the mud on the tracks?
EDIT: Also try to reduce the size of your pictures with photoshop or paint shop pro :-) :-)

Hello
Thanks all for the feedback, stupidly i decided to mat coat with future even though i was unhappy with the amount of pigment. So if im going to improve the wheels i will have to strip them down and start again. Depending on how i feel tonight i will break out the oven cleaner and scrub the road wheels down and repaint, i dont think the rest of the mud is too bad, and short of taking the whole thing back to plastic im screwed.
It was supposed to replicate an Pzkw II as it saw its first autumn mud in russia, but i do think its a bit excessive.
Sorry about the pic sizes, my main laptop was at work so i couldnt photoshop, thats why i didnt paste them directly into the thread.

Hello
Ok, some success, repainted the wheels and with a very thin wash oversprayed some of the hull mud.
Comments appreciated
