Has anyone got any suggestions on how to get rid of a paint ridge?
Im thinking that maybe a cut down cocktail stick or even a gentle scrape with a knife but would welcome any advice before I start.
Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you talking about a ridge where two colors meet and overlap? Or like where the edge of masking tape was?

Sorry,,should have made it a bit clearer.
Its a ridge formed where masking was. Hope this helps.

Scraping may not be desirable, I suspect the paint will come off in bits.
May I suggest to use polishing compunds such as those produced by Tamiya for sports cars.

Thanks guys.
I ended up by using a cut down cocktail stick to rub away the ridge and then resprayed the area.
Worked really well and you cant tell there was ever a problem.
Thanks for the input

Just a suggestion for the future..
when doing a german 3 camo paint job on a plane I found that aiming the airbrush over the tape away from the tape edge helped minimaze the ridge...oh and doing light coats also..
I found if you aim your airbrush right at the edge of the tape it tends to form a higher ridge than if you airbrush over the edge of the tape aiming away from the masked area...
