I really like the way you portrayed the mud and grim though my only suggestion is based on the condition of the vehicles the figures should have some mud on them as well....I'm sure you are planning it that way but just my suggestion. Good Job!!

As with what Matthew said, think like a flak crewman, and where they would tread on the truck, how they would climb up from ground level, and where they would track the mud they have on them...
A suggestion for the vehicles would be a flat 'dirt' coloured spray of the running gear on both , to basically lightly cover the white wheels. They look too clean, and I think it would be safe to assume the vehicles would have had dirty wheels already, before the fresh mud you have shown. Keep the mud glossy so as looking freshly appplied as you have. This will help to tie in the tones from the muddy base to the upper levels of whitewash.
Looking well on the mark otherwise!
Cheers
Brad
Oh, and make sure your light green moss is not TOO green, as this is winter and unless evergreen, most plants would be yellowy browny green?

Matt,
I dont know if my effort at the Flak gives you any ideas in weathering yours. Mine was for a more frosty day scenario. Not my newest camera, so excuse the quality.
Hoping this helps
Regards,
John

The mud is nice, I like the mud on the tracks. I agree that it would be on the back of the tank also.
One thing I see is that the AFV's look like they are "on" the mud and not in it. A 70 ton kitty cat is going to go squish in the mud. I would hollow out a few ruts for both, or have a lot of snow coming up the sides to put the AFV's In the diorama not On the diorama.

JLMURC-thats a nice half track your've got there.theres a few bits of chipping on mine on the front and on the armour on the flak gun.
SLODDER-i rekize that they sit a bit high on the dio i mite have to wet the mud and make it right.and is it good for the mud to crack anyway for it to stop
