Hey all,
Well I'm truelly suprised that my account is still alive here but a hearty greetings to you all. We've just had winter here in which I've been doing very little modeling indeed. However summer is returning and so is my enthusiasm in the hobby. Over winter I've been collecting a few models and photo etch sets as i knew that with the wartmer weather I'd be keen as mustard to get out and continue building and spraying.

Which brings me to my question. I've bought dragons 1/35 elefant and the apropriate eduard photo etch detail set. While I haven't started it yet (currently finishing my 1/16 kubel and half way through my marder III) I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on building the tracks for this kit?? On inspection and in reading the instructions there seems to be no locating pins to connect the individual tracks. Compared to many other individual tracks ive built there doesnt seem to be any way to lock the track links together. Is it a classic case of having to manually pin each link or am i totally missing something here??

cheers

If I'm not mistaken, those are just glue together links, aren't they?

The tracks are just glue together type. But you will have about 20 minutes for the glues to be fully set, hence you can bend them around.

The only thing with the tracks is that the center chevilion is inverted in compare to the real track on the vehicle, so if you want this to look accurate, you need to replace it with Friul tracks. HTH.

Cheers for the replies guys. Yes, they are just the glue together type but I'm going to keep an eye out for an alternate type anyway.

Always open to new options.

Thanks...
