These updates on Dragon website have nothing to do with the pace of the actual work on the kit. Computer design of the kit parts is 100% finished (except for a couple of accessories we decided to add), so we can produce any website story we want. This is the proces of making and finetuning tools (molds) that is taking long time as it requires a lot of test shots to be made and carefully analyzed...
By the way, I'm co-author of these M1A1 web site updates - I give ideas what to write and DML people create actual web document around them. Next week you can expect some info about kit side skirts

You tease Pawel :-)
I just hope DML are going to do a huge run on this one , it seems to be one of the most anticipated kit releases in a long long time.
As a die hard WW2, good grief even I want one

Let's take the delay into consideration. The M1A1 is probably the most prolific modern battle tank today. There are more of them at ready access to modelers than any other tank.
If they release anything less than a perfect kit, the experts will be racing to be the first one to identify the error.
The online modeling community will raise the hue and cry, "How could they have missed this?" and "How could they get that wrong?"
I'd rather wait a little bit until they are satisfied with it than to listen to modelers complain about this and that.
