Ok, here you go guys, hot off the presses. Sorry, I didn't have an older style CVC in our shop.
This is the new intercom system that is installed in the tracks that go with the newer CVC's.
Enjoy! Anything else, just drop a line.

Jeff Jacobus,
From experience, all of the functions work well in the system IF you know how to use them. Including abilities to Remote Transmit. Grab the TM and read up on it, it's a completely separate TM for that CVC than what the tank TM provides. Also discusses other helmet systems, like the oversized earphones that are useable with the Kevlar.
In addition to what Epi has up there, there is a VIC-3 related intercom system that is mounted in many of the M1114's that are in Iraq, with similar capabilities, but simpler parts.

Yep that is the new system in the STRYKER's. The MCS and FFCS have been around for about 9 years now. They are great systems, when you know how to operate them. The CVC's keep getting better, at least they've gone to a soft foam ear cusion instead of the gel cusions they had in the begining.

I remember those original gel earcups on the VIC-3. One of the things that some of the guys were proud about was they were silicon filled. The description was along the terms of having a pair of fake breasts around your head. Nice thoughts for a lonely tanker! Extremely sad note was when the silicon bags blew...
