Gday All,
I have read a couple of articles by James Blackwell
(http://www.clubhyper.com/reference/paintingpanzersjb_1.htm)
and decided to give it a go. The results on a scrap model for a first time try were excellent.
I have a question for anyone who may have used this method. In the articles he paints (Tamiya acrylics) using the standard german three colour cam of dark yellow, red brown and dark green. In step three he uses dark yellow as a very light overspray to give a faded effect then uses buff on the lower parts to simulate dust.
My question is, do you use the same colours if you have say an olive drab sherman or a panzer grey paint scheme or should i be using diferent tones of the base colour for steps three and four??

I have a Panzer II (Grey) Sherman M4A3 (Olive Drab) and a British Centaur Mk IV (Dark Earth) ready for finishing off and don't want to bugger them up.

I hope I have I haven't confused anyone.

Cheers
Alex H
