Hello,
some of you will know my model from the amphibs campaign.
It is the Sherman Duplex Drive from Resicast.
The tank shows one from the 13-18th Hussars at Lion-sur-Mer on 6th june 1944.
I build it nearly out of the box. Only some chains and the plumpings for air and hydraulic to erect the screen were added and the fantastic periscope & mount set from Tiger Model Productions was used at the driver's and co-driver's hatches. The commander's hatch was unchanged to show the difference.
Decals are from Resicast too.
While the kit is 15 years or more old, the construction sheet lacks many informations were to place parts. In the meantime, Resicast has improved their construction manuals and sometimes CD's with pictures are provided with their kits. So that's why I never ever had to research so much to build a model. But i enjoyed it building this kit very much.
The kit is painted with Tamiya acrylics and got a moderate washing with black and brown oil color. The track connectors got a dry brushing with rust and silver. I did no do more because the vehicles went into action for the first time and were nearly new.

One last word. I tried a lot, but at most of the pic's the model looks glossy. May be it is caused by the lighting.
Happy modelling
Harald

Harald that looks real good mate. While I am no sherman or armour person as such that is an unusual type.
Cheers
Cliff
PS> the glossy look in the photos will be due to the lights you used.

happy modelling
