i want to make a normandy diorama with a tiger tanks, but i buy a tiger I tanks (early version} from academy...and after i search and browse in the net and books, i've found out that in normandy (1944),the tiger was used is tiger II...so is there any tiger I was operated in normandy???because i really2 need the reference of the decals...and if theres no tiger I in normandy, it means that i have to buy a tiger tank again (tiger II offcourse)...
please help me ...thnx

There were lots of Tiger Is in Normandy, and very few Tiger IIs.

The Academy Tiger isn't much help though as all the Tigers seen in Normandy were mid or late producion models with different cupolas to the Academy one and often steel wheels. And they all had zimmerit.

Hi Curahee23 ....David has given you all the info you need on the Tigers in Normandy ...If you want a really nice kit of a Tiger in Normandy get your hands on the new Dragon kit ...it is amazing and even has decals just right for this campaign....The only thing you'll have to either buy or do yourself is the zimmerit coating . It is worth every dime ...
