I am planning on a 2nd 1/16 RC tank, this time the Sherman with HVSS.
I'm planning on either a M4A3E8 during the second world war with sandbag armour and 2-tone camouflage scheme as you can see in the osprey book about the Sherman, or a M4A3(105) HVSS Dozer Sherman.
I've got some questions:
- I don't have the osprey book myself but I can remember the camouflage scheme was olive drab with dark sand or something similar. Can anyone confirm this?
- What kind of camouflage was used during the Korean war? There are 2 photo's in the concord book "Tank Warfare in Korea" on pages 57 and 67 but I can't tell which colours are used.
- In the same book I can't find any army used M4A3 105 HVSS dozer tanks. Was the 1st Marine the only unit which used these tanks?
- Does anyone know a nice reference site with pics of the HVSS dozer tanks? (enough VSS but HVSS....)
- Last and probably hardest question. The Dutch MABRIG (marine brigade) used the M4A3 105 HVSS during the conflict in the Dutch East Indies from 1946 till 1950. I am wondering if some of these tanks were fitted with dozer blades as well....?
That's it for now, thanks for your time
