Hi guys
Does anyone know what type of walls are more common in the Normandy area of France ? I'm looking for a short dividing wall. Something that would block off a yard. Heres the plan / idea. The dio features a US Jeep mounted recon force during the beginning of Operation Cobra. They have come across a newly wrecked German cycle. It sits in the middle of a road near a shell crater, close to a wall that has a hole blasted into it. I'm just not sure if I should make the wall out of "stone" or "brick" .
Thanks in advance
Harry

I think stone is the way to go. Plus in my opinion stone looks sooo much better than bricks:)

I think free standing farm type houses would be stone. Urban would be both.

I'd go with the stone, adds a more 'country' look to it

Considering the fact the farmlands throughout Europe had to constantly remove stones from the ground, and that the stones were put to good use, I'd go with stone. As mentioned, it looks better too.

Salut !
I do confirm Normandy farms and walls were at this time in stone, in countryside in any case. In Caen, you will find mostly bricks or concrete.
Good luck
ps: MK35 does nice stone wall, not expensive. www.mk35.com.

Hi Julien
Thanks for the reply, and the web site. I was planning on carving the wall, but I'll check the site when I get home tonight, it may save me some time.
